Money Matters
Baringa is a community-based, non-profit organisation. As such, fees go solely towards providing quality early childhood education, providing above award wages for our professional educators and staff, and ongoing running costs of the centre. Fees are reviewed annually by the Board.
+ New Families
To get started, please complete a Wait List Form. As soon as we can provide your preferred days, we will send an offer and ask you to complete an online Enrolment Form.
New Enrolment Holding Fee: $200 per child is direct debited to confirm enrolment. The fee is credited to the account once your child commences. If enrolment is cancelled, the fee is forfeited.
Direct Debits: In the Enrolment Form, you will provide a bank account or credit card which for the fortnightly direct debit of fees. Direct debits are charged fortnightly in arrears and will commence on your child's third week. You will receive a statement with notice prior to each billing day.
Child Care Subsidy: If it is your child's first time in an early learning centre, please apply for Child Care Subsidy (CCS) early to avoid paying full fees. How to apply for CCS.
You will also need to login to MyGov to confirm your child's enrolment and activate CCS. How to confirm enrolment.
CCS is not provided prior to your child's first physical attendance, or after their last physical attendance. This means if your child is absent on their first or last day of enrolment, CCS will not be provided and full fees will be charged. Read More.

+ Direct Debits
Fees are paid by direct debit, processed in arrears on a fortnightly basis. You will receive a statement and notice prior to each billing day.
In addition, payment provider, Debit Success fees include the following as of 1 Jan 2024:
- Establishment Fee: $2.20 (one-off with first transaction)
- Direct debit via Bank Accounts: $1.04 per transaction
- Direct debit via Visa/Mastercard: 2.72% per transaction
- Direct debit via American Express: 4.98% per transaction
- Decline fee: $19.95 added to subsequent direct debit
+ Child Care Subsidy
Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is an Australian Government subsidy to assist families with fees. Eligibility for, and the level of CCS for each child, depends on the family's income, the parents' hours of work or study, etc.
Once active, CCS is paid to Baringa directly and families are charged the "gap" after CCS via direct debit on fortnighly basis.
It is the responsibility of parents to apply for a CCS claim with Centreilnk, and to the level of CCS depends requires on a confirmation of family income each financial year. Read More.

+ Additional Child Care Subsidy
Families experiencing financial hardship, or are caring for children who may be vulnerable, may be eligible for Additional Child Care Subsidy (ACCS), which covers up to 100% of fees. Read More and contact us.
+ Other Fees
The following administration fees are not covered by CCS:
Late Fees: $15 for first 15 minutes, plus $5 for every 5 minutes thereafter. Late fees are added to accounts for each child not collected by the end of their session timeslot. Fees go towards overtime wages.

Association Membership Fee: $2 per family added to accounts annually on 1 August, for the financial year (1 July to 30 June). As an incorporated association, all families are members of the association.
Centre Improvement Fund: $100 per family added to accounts annually on 1 June, for improvements to indoor and outdoor spaces of the centre. For new families, the fee is pro-rated for the first year as per Schedule 1 of the Fees Policy.
Families who have at least one family member volunteer their time at working bees, fundraising events, or equivalent voluntary contributions will be eligible to have the fee waived or reimbursed, at the discretion of the Centre Management. Contact Us.
+ Three Year Old Initiative
The Three Year Old Initiative supports children and families experiencing disadvantage and vulnerability. Baringa has been selected by the ACT Government to provide government-subsidised places of two days per week for eligible children. Read more and contact us.
+ Discounted Upfront Payments
Families are entitled to a 5% discount for upfront payment of fees (13-week blocks). Please refer to Schedule 1 of the Fees Policy and contact us.
